Resting and Sorting

Above is a church that we pass many times each day as we drive to and from where we are staying. This morning we drove to one of the SCORE properties to join in a church service with several other SCORE teams. The property they purchased has gone through quite a transformation since last year. There is a facility to house over 30 people on trips, an apartment for one of the missionaries Manolo and his wife and they are working on building another apartment for several other SCORE missionaries. The final goal is to have a full size soccer field, pool, church and medical building. Manolo has taken charge of developing the church and reaching out to the neighborhood that is close by. It was exciting to see how things have advanced in one year and see the ways in which we need to pray for their ministry.
We made a stop at the market on the way back from church to investigate what new food we could find. Mangos were a big hit. Also avocados, star fruits, limes, and "unknown" fruits!

Sunday has been a nice day to relax, do some souvenir shopping, catch up on sleep and get ready for a busy week of soccer and ministry. The sun has been down for a while now and we are organizing our donations to see how they can be put to the best use. As always, our schedule is flexible so we have to be prepared to change plans.
